I’m not usually one to go for a housey remix but I gotta give it up for this one. Soulful house, tastefully done, IMHO.
Years ago, I read her autobiography and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The stories fly fast and furious and she pulls no punches. One that has stuck with me was when she was strung out in Alaska on the run from the law. R&B Queen Etta James in the great wwhite north with no smack to be had. Now that’s a story that should be turned into a movie, in and of itself/
